Graduate of Boston University, with a BFA degree in painting. Erika works in oils, acrylics, and watercolors. Her paintings reflect personal impressions of natures color, form and light. She strives to quiet the viewers mind with her work by simplifying the detail in a scene with focus on color, shape and texture. She draws inspiration from the works of Gaugin, Hopper, Lichtenstein, and Monet. Erika works from memory, photographs and on-site.
Erika grew up on Long Island, lives in Massachusetts, and frequents the Camden, Maine area. She worked in the graphic arts field for many years and now dedicates her time to painting in her private studio.
